Sticks & Dirt’s Corporate Strategy to be a Better Steward of our Planet’s Resources

Currently, we incorporate the following in our daily operations:
Reduce the use of paper in operations:

1.  by communicating electronically as much as possible;

2. by scanning and e-mailing documents rather than faxing;

3. by filing and storing transaction data, including all e-mail communications and important documentation, on disc;

4. encourage others to communicate with us electronically.
Recycle paper, glass and plastic as per the local municipal utility authority’s guidelines.
Recycle and/or reuse products creatively. Give old equipment/furniture to non-profits or employees.
Recycle toner cartridges and any other supplies/parts where possible.
Use compact fluorescent light bulbs throughout our office.
Eliminate the use of Styrofoam and paper cups in the office.
Drink tap water in re-usable vessels rather than bottled water.
Turn off computers, monitors, and other electronic devices when not in use.
Put lights and HVAC systems on timers.
Carpool whenever possible to view properties.
Raise awareness of environmental issues whenever possible with clients and customers.
Share ideas on how be more “earth-friendly” with clients and customers.
Our future implementation goals are to:
Use native plants and plants that require little water in landscaping.
Install low flush toilets.
Install solar panels for energy supply.
